PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This panel brings together leading experts to discuss the transformative role of artificial intelligence in otolaryngology, spanning innovations, applications, and challenges from a global perspective. Dr. Jin Youp Kim will showcase groundbreaking uses of AI in rhinology to enhance patient care and research. Dr. Tae Hoon Kong will explore integrating machine learning and large language models in otology, revealing their potential to improve diagnostics and communication. Dr. Matthew Lee will highlight how AI reshapes patient care in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Concluding the session, they will address the practical challenges associated with AI, shedding light on its limitations and risks. This comprehensive discussion offers attendees a balanced perspective on AI's promise and pitfalls, equipping them to navigate its evolving role in clinical and research settings in Otolaryngology from a global perspective.

OUTCOME OBJECTIVE 1: 1) Demonstrate how artificial intelligence, including machine learning and large language models, is revolutionizing patient care, research, and clinical decision-making in subspecialties like rhinology, otology, and facial plastic surgery.

OUTCOME OBJECTIVE 2: 2) Highlight the Transformative Potential of AI in Patient Care - Discuss real-world applications of AI that enhance surgical precision, streamline diagnostic processes, and personalize treatment plans, improving overall outcomes in otolaryngologic practice.

OUTCOME OBJECTIVE 3: 3) Examine Practical Challenges in AI Integration - Address the limitations, risks, and unintended consequences of AI in medicine, fostering a balanced understanding of its potential and pitfalls to guide responsible implementation.

BACKGROUND STATEMENT: This panel addressed one of the gap topics identified in a comprehensive gap analysis by AAO. This submission is presented for the International Symposium on behalf of both the Korean Society of Otorhinolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and the Korean American Otolaryngology Society.
