Jin Youp Kim, M.D., Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Dongguk University Ilsan Hospital in Goyang, South Korea. He completed his residency and fellowship training at Seoul National University Hospital and earned his Ph.D. in Medical Informatics from Seoul National University.
Professor Kim’s clinical and research interests include sleep medicine, chronic rhinosinusitis, and allergic rhinitis. His research particularly focuses on the utilization of big data and artificial intelligence, including the application of deep learning to computed tomography (CT) imaging and drug-induced sleep endoscopy (DISE). He conducts transdisciplinary research integrating multimodal data to develop predictive models and applies machine learning techniques to interpret complex molecular and clinical datasets.
He is an active member of the Korean Society of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the Korean Rhinologic Society, and the Korean Society of Sleep Medicine. He has received multiple national research grants, including support from the National Research Foundation of Korea and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute.
