PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This symposium highlights groundbreaking advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of laryngeal disorders, with a focus on tissue engineering, vocal fold scarring prevention, and medical interventions for voice disorders, including laryngeal dystonia. Bringing together leading global experts from Korea and the United States, the panel will explore cutting-edge research and clinical applications that advance therapies for vocal health.
• Dr. Seong Keun Kwon, a pioneer in regenerative laryngology, will discuss novel tissue engineering strategies for restoring and replacing vocal fold function.
• Dr. Seung-Won Lee will present his research on innovative approaches to treating and preventing vocal fold scarring, a critical challenge in preserving voice quality.
• Dr. Paul Kwak will examine the role of steroids in managing acute voice disorders, offering practical insights for clinical practice.
• Dr. Tanya Meyer will explore advanced chemodenervation techniques for treating laryngeal dystonia.
