Challenging Adult Airway Management: A Case-Based Approach

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Otolaryngologists are often the cornerstone of evaluating,assessing, and treating patients with challenging upper airway stenosis. Through interactive discussion, this session will highlight innovative techniques, the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration, and tailored strategies for personalized patient care.

Through case-based discussion of challenging adult airway cases and crowd polling, we will address invasive and non-invasive strategies for airway management and the thought-processes driving different treatment algorithms. In addition, airway resection and reconstruction as a means for long-term management will be covered, including post-operative complications and their management. Measures to maintain a safe airway throughout planned and emergent treatment options will be discussed.

Attendees will gain practical insights into addressing complex airway cases, focus on pearls to improve outcomes and technical pointers to achieve the best patient care.
