PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The focus of this session is to provide case-based education on Mohs reconstruction of head and neck defects. This session is targeted to trainees, including medical students, residents and fellows. A basic understanding of the tenets of Mohs reconstruction is vital to all trainees who will participate in the care of patients undergoing Mohs reconstruction. Participants of this session will gain an armamentarium of tools for the management of Mohs defects of all sizes on the scalp, forehead, periocular region, cheeks, nose, and lips.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe at least three options to reconstruct any given Mohs defect of the head and neck.
  2. Discuss aesthetic and functional advantages/disadvantages to a variety of reconstructive options for Mohs defects of the head and neck.
  3. Describe operative logistics of Mohs reconstruction if staging is required.
