Jennifer Kong, BA, is a third-year medical student at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She is passionate about improving access to health care, especially through the lens of Otolaryngology. Her research examines how social factors affect tracheostomy outcomes as well as patient experiences in student-run frree clinics. She also leads several community outreach and advocacy initiatives. In addition, she enjoys volunteering at Shade Tree Clinic, VUSM’s student-run free clinic; organizing VUSM’s Flexner Lecture Series; engaging with prospective students as a student ambassador; and mentoring junior students. Outside of medicine, she loves doing hot yoga, trying new restaurants, playing board games, and spending time with friends and family.
