Emaan Dawood is a fourth-year medical student at Virignia Commonwealth University School of Medicine with a strong interest in health equity and population-level disparities in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. She completed her undergraduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University as part of the Guaranteed Admission Program for Medicine, graduating Summa Cum Laude with University Honors. Her current research focuses on understanding geographic and socioeconomic disparities in hearing loss and access to cochlear implantation. Beyond her research, Emaan serves as an editor for The Auricle, a national otolaryngology student-run newsletter. She aspires to pursue a career in academic otolaryngology, with a commitment to both patient care and health equity.
