Dr. Yin Ren is an Assistant Professor of Otology, Neurotology and Cranial Base Surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery at The Ohio State University. Dr. Ren completed his undergraduate degree in Electrical and Biomedical engineering at MIT. He earned his MD-PhD degrees from the Harvard-MIT joint MD-PhD Program and completed otolaryngology residency training at the Harvard Combined Residency Program / Massachusetts Eye and Ear. He subsequently completed ACGME-accredited fellowship training in Otology, Neurotology and Skull base surgery at the University of California, San Diego. His clinical practice includes all aspects of otology/neurotology, with a particular focus on tumors of the lateral skull base. His NIH-funded research laboratory focuses on identifying biomarkers and developing nanotechnology treatments for vestibular schwannomas and other skull base tumors, neurofibromatosis type 2, and hearing loss.
