Alexa Lacy, MD, is a second-year Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery resident at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida, graduating summa cum laude. She received her medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She is also a member of the Association for Surgical Education. Her research interests include cost of care, access disparities, and surgical and reconstructive outcomes. She has published in JAMA Oncology and the Journal of Voice, and regularly presents at national academic meetings.
