Mohamed Faisal Kassir, BS is an MD-PhD student at the Medical University of South Carolina. Mohamed completed his PhD in Biochemistry in 2024, studying metabolic approaches to potentiating aging T-cell anti-tumor function in different cancer models. In his PhD, Mohamed focused on melanoma and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma models, driven by his aspirations to become a future Otolaryngologist-Head and Neck Surgeon. He is currently in his final clinical year of medical school as part of his MD-PhD training, and he is looking forward to applying to ENT residency during the upcoming application cycle.
