Kartik Motwani, PhD is an MD-PhD candidate in his 4th year of medical school at the University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed his PhD work in 2023 focused on antigen-presenting cell immunophenotyping for genetic risk variants leading to type 1 diabetes, prior to resuming medical school with a strong interest in immune mechanisms contributing to otolaryngologic disease. Kartik is currently applying for ENT residency in the 2026 Match, seeking excellent clinical training with the goal of pursuing a career as a surgeon-scientist, and would be appreciative of further exposure to any guidance or potential opportunities along this path. During his medical and graduate training, Kartik served as the Executive Director for the UF Equal Access Clinic Network, a free and charitable clinic network with a mission to improve care for the local underserved community, and he has supported leadership of clinical quality improvement initiatives as co-PI for patient services expansion funding in addition to foundation grant funding totaling $65,000 for his doctoral work. He is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, American Medical Association, and American Physician Scientist Association.
