Kalena Liu, BS, is a fourth-year medical student at the CUNY School of Medicine and an aspiring otolaryngologist committed to improving patient care through research and clinical practice. She completed a dedicated research year as an otology/neurotology research fellow at the Thomas Jefferson University Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. Her fellowship experience strengthened her interest in translating research findings into practical insights that enhance patient counseling and clinical outcomes. She is a prospective applicant in this year’s Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery residency cycle and hopes to integrate research, education, and patient-centered care into her future career.
