Dr. McWhorter is the Director of the OLOL/LSU Voice Center in Baton Rouge at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Vice Chairman of Development, and a Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Johns Hopkins and his fellowship in Laryngology and Care of the Professional Voice under Dr. Robert Ossoff at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Dr. McWhorter’s practice encompasses all areas of laryngology with a primary emphasis in the management of laryngeal cancer. His research focuses on high speed digital imaging of the larynx, laryngeal cancer, and rehabilitation of swallowing in head and neck cancer patients.
