LaKeisha Henry, MD, FACS, is an Associate Partner and Comprehensive Otolaryngologist in private practice with Ear, Nose and Throat
Consultants of Nevada (Las Vegas/Henderson), a Clinical Associate Professor, Dept. of Surgery, USUHS. She retired as a Colonel from the United States Air Force, after over 29 years of service to our Nation, decorated with distinction earning a Legion of Merit Medal and several Meritorious Service Medals. Her service included locations in the U.S. and overseas and deployment to Afghanistan in 2008 as the sole ENT/head and neck trauma surgeon in the theater. Dr. Henry enjoys teaching and continues in association with the Mountain View Hospital General Surgery Residency Program in Las Vegas, as a volunteer Advance Trauma Life Support Instructor for the Department of Defense, and as a student mentor. Dr. Henry served in various leadership and command roles to include serving as the Executive Director of the Department of Defense Hearing Center of Excellence (HCE). She served as the Chief Otolaryngology Consultant to the Air Force, as an At-Large Director, Board of Directors for private practice (AAO-HNS), on the AAO-HNS Executive Committee, and Diversity Task Force Lead (AAO). She currently serves as WIO AMA representative, an At-Large Director and volunteer administrator for the Society of Military Otolaryngologists and as the Chair for a NATO Human Factors in Medicine a multi-national communication-in-noise task group. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1992 (Dean’s List) and Medical Doctorate from USUHS in 1998. She completed residency in Otolaryngology in 2005 at SAUSHEC in San Antonio, Texas. She has been a revered commander, a trusted approachable hospital administrative, medical staff and committee leader. She has been recognized for her dedication and exemplary performance as a clinician/surgeon and servant-style leadership.
