Michelle Yu, MD MS is a former resident of the NewYork-Presbyterian Columbia and Cornell Otolaryngology Resident Training Program. She graduated with honors in Biomedical Computation from Stanford University and proceeded to complete her medical degree at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons with a masters degree in Biomedical Sciences. Her research experience includes molecular and synthetic biology as well as basic robotics; her current research focuses on surgical device development. This project—conducted under mentorship of Dr. Anil Lalwani and funded by the AAO-HNS CORE grant—discusses development and and testing of 3D-printed microneedle technology for inner ear access via the round window membrane. She is now the rhinology fellow at MUSC.
