Angelica Mangahas, MD is a first-year Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery resident at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society for academic excellence and leadership. Her current research interests include laryngology, gender differences in surgical training, and disparities in surgical outcomes and education. She is passionate about advancing equity and representation in surgical training and hopes to contribute to the growing body of literature in these areas throughout her residency.
