Sacha Moufarrej, MA is a medical student at the UC San Diego School of Medicine. She holds a B.S. in Neuroscience from the University of Washington and an M.A. in Medical Anthropology from SOAS, University of London, where she was a US-UK Fulbright Scholar. Her research in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery focuses on the efficacy of diagnostic tools for head and neck malignancies and the identification of aspiration risk using audiometrics. She also studies public health hazards and healthcare disparities, including cancer care experiences among patients with limited English proficiency and the relationship between pesticide exposure and cancer incidence in California.
