Ian Witterick is the Surgeon-in-Chief at Sinai Health in Toronto and a Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery (OHNS) in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine (TFoM) at the University of Toronto (UofT). He completed his 10-year term in June 2022 as the George and Helen Vari Chair of the Department of OHNS at the UofT. He is a Past President of both the Canadian Society of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery (CSO-HNS) and the North American Skull Base Society, is past Chair of the Skull Base Section for the American Head and Neck Society and a member of the steering committee for the World Congress on Thyroid Cancer.
