My name is Oluebubechukwu Eze, B.S. and B.S.N., a third-year medical student at Howard University College of Medicine. My research interests lie at the intersection of public health and otolaryngology, with a focus on injury prevention, disease burden, and health disparities. At the 2025 AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting in Indianapolis, I am presenting a poster on straw-related oropharyngeal injuries, a study that utilizes data from the NEISS database to examine the epidemiology and clinical significance of these rare but potentially serious injuries.
