Dr. Paavali Hannikainen is a second-year resident in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Northwestern University. He graduated magna cum laude from Emory University with a degree in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology and completed his medical education at Thomas Jefferson University. His research interests span rhinology, airway disease, and health services research, with numerous national presentations and peer-reviewed publications on topics including rhinosinusitis, immunodeficiency, and the unified airway. Dr. Hannikainen previously conducted translational research at the National Institutes of Health and remains committed to evidence-based care, academic collaboration, and advancing outcomes through interdisciplinary research.
