Medical Student
Rowan Virtua SOM
My name is Ayman Khatib. I am a third-year medical student at Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine-Virtua. I was born in the United States and raised in Syria. I came back to the United States at the age of 16. I have been intrigued by surgery and otolaryngology since completing my bachelor's degree and working in the hospital system as a medical laboratory technologist. Oncology has been the primary focus of my research as an undergraduate student, and as a medical student, I have developed an interest in head and neck surgery. I am excited to explore all facets of Otolaryngology and contribute to research as I pursue a career in academic institutions in the future. I am currently a part of "Labrynth", a student-run nonprofit organization that aims to disseminate research knowledge to other students in osteopathic programs or those without an Otolaryngology home program. I aspire to involve as many students as I do in research and hope to one day become an exceptional Otolaryngologist.
