Student
Morehouse School of Medicine
Jessica C. Goodwin, BS is a fourth-year medical student at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. A first-generation Jamaican American, Jessica was drawn to medicine by a desire to improve health-related quality of life and address healthcare disparities through clinical care, research, advocacy, and mentorship. Her commitment to these goals is evident in her wide-ranging efforts—from providing free healthcare for uninsured populations to shaping impactful policies through the American Medical Association. Dedicated to uplifting others, she supports aspiring physicians by conducting mock interviews through the education pipeline programs and returning to serve as the Co-Chair of the Future Leaders in Otolaryngology Symposium for Underrepresented Students (FLESUS) committee. Outside of her academic and clinical responsibilities, Jessica enjoys hiking, weightlifting, floral arranging, and thrift shopping as ways to recharge and stay grounded.
