Step-by-Step Endoscopic Approaches to the Frontal Sinus

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Frontal sinus surgery has long been anatomically challenging in terms of access and chronic disease management. Decades of experience and advents in technology have led to widespread use of varying approaches to the frontal sinus. However, modifications to the existing techniques to minimize unnecessarily invasive procedures and provide adequate treatment have recently been described by the presenters. This presentation will provide a step-by-step approach to the frontal sinus. Appropriate procedure selection will be discussed with case presentations highlighting revision surgery. Variations in typical approaches and utility of balloon dilation in select situations will be discussed. Evidence-based literature on frontal sinus surgery will be reviewed.

Determine which cases are adequate or optimal for surgical intervention
Describe different endoscopic techniques (including recent modifications) for frontal sinus disease management
Implement safe and effective management options for frontal sinus surgery
