Coding in Otolaryngology 2025: A Review and Update

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: To succeed in today's business environment, otolaryngologists need to be their own expert coders. Coding 2025 will serve as both a review course and update. We will start by reviewing current evaluation and management codes especially in the out patient setting. We will review G Code G2211 and how you can use it in your practice. We will review any changes or updates to Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes and modifiers. We will review changes to tele health rules and coding. We also provide a Medicare update. At the end of the course, participants should be ready for coding in 2025 and beyond.

OUTCOME OBJECTIVE 1: 1. Use the appropriate E&M code for outpatient and hospital consults using the updated guidelines from CMS.

OUTCOME OBJECTIVE 2: 2. Understand G Code G2211 and when to use it in your practice

OUTCOME OBJECTIVE 3: 3. Understand the recent changes to telehealth rules and coding.

BACKGROUND STATEMENT: This course was first taught last year after recognizing the 2023 meeting had no review courses for coding catering to the practicing otolaryngologist. All practicing otolaryngologist would benefit from a concise one hour review of coding to include recent changes and updates.
