Mark Whipple, MD, MS is Professor of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and of Biomedical Informatics and Medical Education at the University of Washington. He has served as Residency Progrm director for the UW Department of Oto/HNS and as the Assistant Dean for Clinical Education and the Associate Dean for Curriculum at the University of Washington School of Medicine. A focus of his research is investigating the UME to GME transition. He has published on modeling ways to improve the residency application process and on measuring diversity outcomes of residency selection in competitive specialties.
