George Liu, MD is a second-year neurotology and skull base surgery fellow at Johns Hopkins. His overarching research goal is to develop clinically useful applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in otolaryngology—head and neck surgery (OHNS) with specific interest in developing and validating deep learning and computer vision applications. He has 10 peer-reviewed publications on AI applications in OHNS (9 which are first authorships), has given 4 podium presentations on the subject at national OHNS conferences, and has received funding from the Johns Hopkins Institute for Data-Intensive Engineering and Science and Amazon Web Services. Dr. Liu plans to pursue an academic career in otology and neurotology after fellowship.
