Stacey Halum, MD, FACS, is a Professor of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine and a nationally recognized surgeon-scientist in laryngology and muscle regeneration. After completing residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin and a laryngology fellowship at Wake Forest University, she joined IUSM in 2005. In 2013, she founded The Voice Clinic of Indiana, which later became the IU Health Voice Center, a designated Center of Excellence. Throughout her career, Dr. Halum has maintained NIH-funded collaborations with Purdue University. She currently serves as principal investigator on two R01 awards focused on developing motor endplate-expressing muscle cell therapies for laryngeal paralysis and airway reconstruction.
