Charis Hodges is a third-year medical student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Heersink School of Medicine. She is a dual MD/MSPH student, with her MSPH focused on outcomes research. As the co-president of the ENT Interest Group, Charis works to connect medical students with otolaryngology faculty and residents to further otolaryngology research. Working closely with neurotology and rhinology faculty, she explores medical and surgical approaches to unique diseases and patient presentations. Charis is committed to addressing the unmet needs of otolaryngology patients, bridging barriers to care, and improving social determinants of health. As her career in medicine and public health continues to develop, Charis is committed to advancing medical and surgical techniques in otolaryngology, improving patient outcomes, and enhancing care for all.
