Andrew Coughlin is a Head and Neck Ablative and Reconstructive surgeon at the Estabrook Cancer Center and Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE. He recieved his undergraduate degree at Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2004 and his doctorate in medicine at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in 2008. He completed residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX in 2013 and went on to complete a Fellowship in Ablative and Reconstructive Head and NeckSurgical Oncology at Nebraska Methodist Hospital/Nebraska Medicine in 2014. He immediately joined the same fellowship program as an Assistant Professor at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital. He has a wide scope of practice including all ablative and reconstructive surgeries of the head and neck but also focuses on skull base disease, advanced cutaneous malignancies, HPV-mediated oropharyngeal malignancies/Robotics, and salivary gland diseases/sialendoscopy. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at Creighton University Medical Center and an adjunct faculty member with Portsmouth Naval Hospital Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and several departments at Nebraska Medicine. Professionally he has served on many Committees and Task Forces within the AAO-HNS and has also served as Chair of the Socioeconomic and Grassroots Committee of the AAO-HNS Board of Governors and Nominating Committee. He is currently finishing his second term as Associate Editor for Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Journal. Locally he has been President of the Nebraska Academy of Otolaryngology and is President-Elect for the Metro Omaha Medical Society.
