Dr. Johnson is the Surgical Director of the Aerodigestive Clinic, Director of the Voice and EILO (Exercise Induced Laryngeal Obstruction) Program, and practices at Seattle Children's Hospital and the University of Washington Medical Center. He is an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He completed medical school at Loma Linda University and residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School before completing a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology and first faculty position at Cincinnati Children's Hospital in Ohio.
Dr. Johnson began working at Seattle Children's Hospital in 2013 and started the Aerodigestive Clinic in 2014. He is heavily involved in the Airway & Esophageal Center research team including multiple projects on the surgical management of dysphagia and advanced surgical planning for airway surgery including slide tracheoplasty. He is a Past-President of the Aerodigestive Society.
