Avani Vasireddy, BA (she/her/hers) is a fourth-year medical student at Duke University School of Medicine. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA, and then spent her gap year working as a nursing assistant in Arizona before starting medical school at Duke. In medical school, Avani became interested in Otolaryngology and became involved with Duke's ENT Interest Group. Her otolaryngologic research involves quality improvement work, pediatric otolaryngology, and facial plastics, including but not limited to: cCMV universal screening, cCMV patient outcomes, and disparities in plastic surgery satisfaction. In her free time, she enjoys baking cakes, crocheting, learning Spanish, and painting.
