Dr. Jenny X. Chen is an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Johns Hopkins University and a fellowship-trained neurotologist. Dr. Chen's research interest is in competency-based surgical education. She leads multiple funded projects and collaborates across institutions to develop data-driven models for evaluating resident performance. Her work has been supported by grants from the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Foundation and the American Board of Medical Specialties. In addition to her research, she serves as Director of Undergraduate Medical Education and Director of the Surgical Skills Laboratory at Johns Hopkins.
