Dr. Alessandra Cataldo Russomando, MD, MSc, is a board-certified ENT specialist currently pursuing her second clinical fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at the Montreal Children’s Hospital in Montreal. She has focused interests in pediatric rhinology and otology.
She recently completed her first fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, one of the world’s leading centers for pediatric ENT. There, she gained advanced surgical experience in otologic procedures, cochlear implantation, and multidisciplinary care of medically complex children, while actively participating in resident teaching and academic activities.
Dr. Cataldo was born in Paraguay and holds dual Paraguayan and Italian citizenship. She speaks Spanish, English, Hebrew, and Portuguese fluently. She earned her medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires and completed a six-year residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Hadassah Hebrew University Medical Center in Jerusalem. She later worked as a pediatric ENT consultant and completed a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, graduating Magna Cum Laude from The Hebrew University.
Her international training includes a neuro-otology observership at Duke University and advanced skull base courses in Spain.
Dr. Cataldo has authored several peer-reviewed publications in Pharmaceutics and Otol Neurotol, contributed to the ESPO Wiki, and presented her work at major international conferences. In 2025, she presented her research at the European Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology (ESPO) Congress.
Her distinctions include Best Resident Research (Israeli Society of Otolaryngology), the Women in Science and Clinics Award, and recognition as an Excellent Research Student and Teacher at The Hebrew University.
She is passionate about advancing pediatric ENT through global collaboration, evidence-based care, and mentoring the next generation of specialists.
