Rebecca A. Zasloff, MPH is a third-year medical student at Duke University School of Medicine and recently earned her Master of Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is interested in pursuing a career in otolaryngology with a strong commitment to advancing health equity. Her research interests focus on addressing health disparities and unmet supportive needs in head and neck cancer. As an Albert Schweitzer Fellow, she is currently working in collaboration with the Duke Cancer Institute to develop support resources to reduce unmet needs and psychosocial distress among patients with head and neck cancer. Rebecca is actively engaged in leadership in areas of mentorship across several national platforms. She serves as the President of the Future Leaders of Surgery Symposium (FLXSUS), a virtual initiative aimed at expanding exposure to surgical careers for underrepresented pre-medical students across the globe. She also holds leadership positions within the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA), where she is the Director-Elect of the LMSA Southeast Region and Chair of the LMSA ENT Specialty Section. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball and pickleball as well as spending time with her family in her homestate of sunny south Florida.
