Dr. Meiklejohn received his M.D. from Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth University and completed his residency training at Stanford Hospital and Clinics, and has been on the faculty of the University of New Mexico since, where he is the residency program director and the head of General Otolaryngology. He formerly served on the AAO-HNS Socioeconomic and Grassroots Committee, and is a past president of the New Mexico Society of Otolaryngology. He is a founding member and vice chair of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Environmental and Sustainability Task Force. His research focuses on medical and surgical sustainability, the health impacts of climate change and pollution, and microplastics in the head and neck.
