Nina Patel, MS, MPhil is an M3 at Loyola Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. She earned an MPhil in Sociology at the University of Cambridge as a Gates Scholar. She worked with the Gates Foundation, UN Women Safe Spaces Project, and Dutch NGO, Women on Waves, to advance women’s health globally. She obtained her MS in Healthcare Delivery and BA in Global Health at ASU, where she researched mental health post-earthquake in Nepal and founded the Global Women’s Health Initiative. She served as UN Millennium Fellowship Campus Director advancing SDGs 3 and 5, and worked with the UNHCR creating policy to standardize medical screenings for Ukrainian refugees.
