Yi Cai, MD is an Assistant Professor at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She is dedicated to advancing the field of sleep apnea surgery through research on the health outcomes of OSA surgery patients and novel sleep apnea therapies. Her research is funded by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine Foundation, Triological Society, American Heart Association, and Columbia Technology Ventures. Current projects include two randomized trials to examine the cardiometabolic impacts of hypoglossal nerve stimulation therapy and the development of a novel device to treat sleep apnea.
