Prof. Titus Sunday IBEKWE MD is a dedicated and knowledgeable medical professional with a long-lasting career in Teaching and Health Policy Researching, with a special focus on Otorhinolaryngology (ORL). He qualified with a Master of Public Health and Health Policy Management and a Doctor degree in Medicine, managed integrated and result-based health projects with excellent coordination skills. His accomplishment in policy development and implementation, facilitation, analysis, advice and reporting to funding agencies and partners are outstanding. Titus is proficient in leadership, ethics, manuscript writing, reviewing publications and Research. His research focuses on Preventable/Rehabilitative hearing loss and Health Policy and Management, resulting over 95 publications and 250 media appearances on health education in Ear diseases and Hearing loss, Lassa fever, Ebola disease and COVID-19. In addition, he is an experienced Medical Professor with strong teaching, and people management skills, having worked with people from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Currently, he is the Chair-International Advisory Board of American Academy of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery; provost College of Health Sciences University of Abuja; Secretary General of Association of Provosts of Colleges of Medicne in Nigeria; Director of Research & Innovation Consortium of Medical Schools in Africa ; President of Foundation For the Sick and HealthEducation (FFSHE); and Professor of ORLHNS/Consultant ENT Surgeon University of Abuja/University of Abuja Teaching Hospital Abuja. Titus is married to Perpetua (an accomplished Dermatologist/Researcher) and blessed with 4 children.
