David Mandell, MD, FAAP, FACS, is a fellowship-trained pediatric otolarygnologist at the Center for Pediatric ENT in Bonyton Beach, Florida, and is an affiliate Associate Professor of Clinical Biomedical Sscience at Florida Atlantic University Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine. A graduate of the University of Maryland School Of Medicine, Dr. Mandell served his internship and residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City and completed a clinical and research Fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, where he stayed on as a faculty member for the early years of his career before eventually moving to Florida. He is the former Director of the Pediatric Airway Center at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, is a co-editor of the Bluestone & Stool Pediatric Otolaryngology textbook, 5th Edition, has published 41 peer-reviewed publications and 19 textbook chapters and monographs, and works closely with the medical school at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, teaching and mentoring medical students interested in otolaryngology.
