Shravan Asthana, B.S. is a medical student at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where he has distinguished himself as a prolific researcher and dedicated leader. His scholarly work spans health policy, otolaryngology, oncology, and neuroscience, with over 20 peer-reviewed publications and numerous national presentations. As Principal Investigator on a Buehler Center grant, he led a scoping review on U.S. health system responses to housing instability, reflecting his commitment to addressing social determinants of health.
Shravan’s research has been published in high-impact journals such as JCO Oncology Practice, Spine, and International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology, and he has contributed to studies on Medicare policy, health disparities, and surgical outcomes. His leadership includes founding the Feinberg Graduate Collaborations Interest Group, serving as President of the ENT Interest Group, and co-chairing several curriculum review committees. He has also held quality improvement roles at Northwestern Memorial Health Care and served nationally through the American Medical Association’s Leadership Development Institute.
A Schreyer Honors College graduate from Penn State with honors in Biology and minors in Economics and Neuroscience, Shravan continues to integrate clinical insight, policy analysis, and community engagement to advance equitable healthcare delivery.
