Wesley Allen is a fourth-year medical student at the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine at the University of Utah, currently applying to Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery residency programs. His research interests include velopharyngeal insufficiency, caregiver quality of life in managing complex pediatric conditions, and the influence of social determinants of health on patient outcomes. Wesley is actively involved in community outreach, focusing primarily on building relationships with existing organizations and enhancing resource access for low-income communities. Outside of medicine, he enjoys playing, watching, and coaching sports, hiking and spending time outdoors, and enjoying time with his wife and two little boys.
