Dr. Deepak Saharan (MBBS, MS ENT, MCh Head & Neck Surgery, FACS) is an Associate Professor and officiating head in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rajkot, Gujarat, India.
He has been practicing oto-rhino-laryngology for the past 14 years. He graduated from medical school in 2008 and completed postgraduation in otorhinolaryngology and Head&Neck Surgery in 2014. He worked as Senior Resident in the department of ORL-HNS from June 2015 to feb 2017. Thereafter, He was appointed as Assistant Professor ORL-HNS in Feb 2017. He went on to pursue MCh in Head&Neck surgery from PGIMER, Chandigarh, INDIA from Jan 2020 through Dec 2022.
Throughout his fourteen-year specialty career, he demonstrated an unwavering commitment to patient care and well-being. His subspecialty of interest is Head&Neck Surgery, which primarily encompasses malignancies of different sub-sites of the head and neck region. He focuses on intricate procedures involving the oral cavity, larynx, thyroid gland, salivary glands, skull base, and neck.
He has been involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and has also conducted various research. He has published 15 articles in international and national indexed journals and written a chapter on frontal sinus malignancy. He has been a principal investigator and co-principal investigator of various research projects.
