Akihiro J. Matsuoka, MD, DMSc, PhD, FACS, is a board-certified neurotologist and otolaryngologist at the University of California San Diego. He directs the Balance and Vestibular Program within the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, overseeing clinical services, research initiatives, and educational programs in vestibular medicine and advancing translational science.
