Dr. Vanessa Stubbs is an Assistant Professor at Rush University in Chicago, IL. She is a fellowship-trained head and neck oncologic and microvascular reconstructive surgeon who received her medical degree from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. She subsequently completed residency training at the University of Pennsylvania and went on to complete fellowship training in head and neck oncologic surgery and microvascular reconstruction at the University of Miami. She worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery at Rutgers University for 3 years then joined the faculty at Rush University as an Assistant Professor in 2023. Her research interests include the use of near infrared optical imaging for intraoperative margin status in head and neck cancer as well as diversity, equity and inclusion within the field of Otolaryngology.
