Dr. Meryem Miri, M.D., is a second-year PhD candidate and an aspiring otolaryngologist. She obtained her medical degree from the Catholic University of Louvain. She received a research grant from the ARC Foundation at the University of Mons.
Her doctoral research focuses on dysarthria and voice disorders in patients with neurological diseases, including Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, Huntington’s disease, stroke, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Her work also explores office-based laryngeal procedures, including in-office laser surgery for benign vocal fold lesions and vocal fold medialization techniques.
She is the first author of four manuscripts and is committed to advancing the understanding and treatment of voice disorders through both clinical and academic work.
