Anirudh Saraswathula, MD, MS recently completed otolaryngology residency at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and will begin a fellowship in laryngology at the Vanderbilt Voice Center next year. He has formal training in epidemiology, quality improvement, and patient safety, including a certificate from the Bloomberg School of Public Health and a fellowship at the Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality. His research focuses on health system performance, care quality, and clinical communication, with publications in JAMA, JAMA Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, and The Laryngoscope on the financial implications of quality measurement, clinical data registries, and the relationship between surgeon volume and outcomes. He also serves on the Academy’s Quality and Safety Committee.
