Thomas E. Davis M.D., Ph.D.; Professor of Pathology at IU School of Medicine, Indianapolis. Indiana; Board certified in Anatomic and clinical Pathology and Medical Microbiology. I have been on the faculty at IUSM since 1986 and I am former director of the clinical microbiology labs at IU Health, Eskenazi health and the VA Hospital in Indianapolis. I am retired from IU Health but I am full time research and employed by Indiana University. I serve as PI on many industry sponsored clinical trials each year. I work with a group of 12 medical technologists (Clinical Lab Scientists) and we do clinical trials mainly on rapid molecular diagnosis of infectious diseases but we also do studies in clinical chemistry and hematology and collaborate with clinical colleagues on microbe-associated malignancies.
