My name is Joshua D. Smith and I am a PGY-4 resident at the University of Michigan. I have a particular clinical interest in head & neck oncologic & reconstructive surgery. My research passions lie in squamous cell carcinoma biology, genetics, biomarkers of treatment response and survival, and development of novel therapeutics. I live with my wife and four children in Ann Arbor, MI and enjoy spending as much time with them as possible. Ultimately, I plan to pursue a career in head & neck & oncologic surgery with an active translational research focus.
