Daniel R. S. Habib, BA is a fourth-year medical student at Vanderbilt School of Medicine applying for the Otolaryngology Residency Match this cycle. He actively seeks opportunities at the intersection of technology, ethics, and surgery. As founder and CEO of KairoSys, he is currently leading development of an AI tool with a team of software engineers to accelerate medical device design by synthesizing user feedback, regulatory reports, and patent data into actionable patient-centered insights. He also studies surgical and patient-facing technology and helps develop a platform for medical record abstraction in clinical trials. Additionally, he leads research on head and neck cancer free-flap reconstruction, surgical outcomes following neoadjuvant immunotherapy, cochlear implant patient experiences on social media, and patient-centered surgical consent forms. He also volunteers as a student clinician/coordinator at Shade Tree Free Clinic, a health educator for previously incarcerated individuals, and a mentor for children affected by gun violence.

Throughout his medical journey, Daniel aspires to continue becoming a better person through each of my patients while spearheading surgical outcomes research, medical technology innovation, and advocacy for equitable healthcare and patients’ rights.
