Avleen is a 1st year dental student at The Univeristy of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She completed her undergraduate degree in Cell Biology/Neuroscience and English at Rutgers Univeristy-New Brunswick. She has studied oral microbiology in the labroatory setting under Dr. Carla Cugini since 2024, with a primary focus on microbial profiling of non-invasive laryngeal cancer diagnosis through extraction of DNA from oropharyngeal and saliva samples.
